Hell of a rescue! Victim involved in a fiery wreck. The car doors are jammed shut and will not open. Cop arrives and pulls the guy to safety. It is all captured on his body cam. Watch the video. It ranks right up there with another video of people trapped and in a desperate situation (below). Just reinforces my suspicion that the primary purpose of police video is not evidence collection but entertainment.
This is not a dig at the cop. He did what he had to do. If he hadn’t acted there is a good chance that the idiot would have burned to death. On the other hand, it isn’t quite the death defying act that the press makes it out to be.
The kicker is that the “victim” was trapped in a convertible with the top down, but the doors wouldn’t open. This event is more in keeping with the Darwin Awards.
